Introduction

India is a country with diverse heritage and culture. Society is shaped through various languages, dialects and education. With a view to developing the Indian Values, Cultural Heritage, and Quality Improvement for the holistic development of the child, school, family and society, the Department of Parents and Community Training under the Centre of Training at the Children’s University identifies the prevailing problems of the society and renders the quality training. To fulfill the concept 'Every Child Matters' advocated by the visionary Prime Minister of India Shri Narendrabhai Modi, the department strongly determines for the development of sustainable society.

To train the family and community for the establishment of harmonious society and learning community through strengthening family values, cultural heritage, problem solution, and prevailing challenges for holistic development of the child.

Objectives

To educate parents, family, teachers and community on the prevailing challenges of child development
To impart training to preserve and nurture Indian family values and cultural heritage
To train parents, family, teachers and community to build a harmonious and learning community
To collaborate with government and non-government organizations/institutions for intensive development of scope and dissemination of family and community training programmes
To carry out the research on family, school and community needs, conduct training programs and improve the quality through its evaluation.
